Transparent
Transparent printing is a method for producing components from clear plastics. Through targeted post-processing, the printed parts can be polished to a crystal-clear finish.
Transparency makes it possible to visualize internal processes, structures, or functionalities of technical components. This makes the method particularly suitable for representing internal mechanisms, flows, or fits within a component.
Typical applications include industry, manufacturing technology, and prototyping. Transparent components are used, among other things, for functional models, test parts, exhibition, and display applications.
Transparent printing is based on SLA materials, such as those offered by Formlabs. The components are primarily designed for visual, functional, and explanatory applications and less for highly mechanically stressed uses.
